1. In terms of the order dated 1st April, 2026 matter is taken up for consideration when learned advocate representing the State respondents has filed a communication of Inspector-in-Charge, Chakdaha Police Station and same is taken on record.

2. It is disclosed in the communication which is filed today that pursuant to the order dated 1st April, 2026 concerned police authority took steps which facilitated the petitioner and his wife to stay at their own residence. Learned advocate representing State respondents has submitted that police protection is provided to the petitioner which would further enable the petitioner and his wife to stay at their

premises. Concerned police authorities are directed to provide such police assistance for 4 (four) weeks from date.

3. Within the aforesaid period of 4 (four) weeks petitioner shall be at liberty to approach jurisdictional authority under Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

4. Writ petition stands disposed of.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
