The petitioners are the persons, who have been deprived of job opportunities as teachers, as a result of irregularities in the process of recruitment, conducted by the School Service Commission. They want to hold a sit-in-demonstration.

The Joint Commissioner of Police (HQ), Kolkata Police has sent a representative indicating that the petitioners can hold their demonstration on the grounds of the Shahid Minar.

In the above circumstances, the petitioners may hold such demonstration on the Shahid Minar Grounds.

The report of the Joint Commissioner of Police (HQ), Kolkata Police dated 11th February, 2023 in the form of instructions to the State Advocate be taken on record.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
