Mr. Mit Guha Roy Mr. Sayan Sarkar ...for the Petitioner In this application, the petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the court below for expeditious disposal of the instant application along with the petitioner's prayer for interim maintenance.

Being aggrieved by the inordinate delay in disposal of the said proceeding, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner being a hapless lady, filed the instant application along with a prayer for interim maintenance on 16.6.2025. Thereafter, the petitioner also filed affidavit of assets and liabilities but the interim maintenance application has not been disposed of nor the proceeding of the main application has been proceeded any further. In such circumstances, she prayed for a direction upon the court below for expeditious disposal of the instant application.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, it appears that the prayer made by the petitioner is innocuous and if it is allowed in terms of the prayer made therein, the opposite parties will have no cause to prejudice

and as such, the service of copy of application upon the opposite parties is hereby dispensed with.

Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner and that the petitioner's prayer for interim maintenance is pending for about one year, I find that the prayer made by the petitioner is justified and required to be allowed to secure the ends of justice.

In view of above, the instant application being CRR 715 of 2026 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the court below to make every endeavour for expeditious disposal of the application for interim maintenance filed by the petitioner and to make his best effort to conclude the entire proceeding preferably within a period of thirty days from the next date of hearing.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, duly applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
