The grievance of the petitioner pertains to the illegal disconnection of his electricity connection by the CESC Limited.

The CESC Limited is represented.

Advocate appearing on behalf of the CESC Limited submits that there is a billing dispute and the petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy available under Regulation 3.5.1of the West Bengal Electricity Regulation. In view of the statutory remedy available to the petitioner under Regulation 3.5.1 of the West Bengal Electricity Regulation, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the Grievance Redressal Officer of CESC Limited by way of making an application within two weeks from date. If such application is made by the petitioner the Grievance Redressal Officer of CESC Limited is requested to consider and dispose of the same after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all other affected parties within four weeks from the date of receipt of such application.

With the aforesaid directions this writ petition being WPA No. 4154 of 2021 stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. (Ravi Krishan Kapur,J)
