A report has been placed before this court by the learned counsel for the State from the District Magistrate and the pool car section of the office of the District Magistrate dated February 18, 2025. 2.

It appears therefrom that the subject vehicle of the petitioner being WB-25G-0465 is not in the custody of the pool car section of the District Magistrate, Birbhum and that the said vehicle has not been seized by the Motor Vehicles Inspector of the district.

In view of the above, the allegations made by the petitioner that the vehicle was seized illegally and parked in the parking complex of the District Magistrate's office does not appear to be proper. Hence, the writ petitioner is not entitled to any relief from this court.

The writ petition stands dismissed.

It will be open for the petitioner to avail remedies as available to him in law before the appropriate forum, if so advised.
