Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 142 days.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws attention of this Court to the case diary including the statement recorded under Section 164 CrPC. He submits that the petitioner was arrested subsequently after filing of the charge sheet and the petitioner's name is recorded in the statement under Section 164 CrPC.

Considering the gravity of offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

The prayer for bail is rejected.

CRM (DB) 562 of 2022 is disposed of.
