Budge Budge Co. Ltd. v. State Of West Bengal & ORS.
09.04.2021 Sl. No. 12 srm C.O. No. 513 of 2020 Budge Budge Company Limited Vs.
The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mrs. Sutapa Sanyal, Mr. Niladri Khanra ...for the Petitioner.
This revisional application has been filed praying for expeditious disposal of O.A. No.1505 of 2018 pending before the learned West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal, 1st Bench at Calcutta.
It is submitted by the petitioner that the application relates to non-compliance of an order for correction of record of rights. The said order for correction of record of rights was passed by the appropriate authority sometime in 2008. This Court has not gone into the merits of the claim of the petitioner but is of the opinion that justice would be subserved if the proceeding before the learned Tribunal is directed to dispose of the pending application expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the next date fixed. The petitioner is also at liberty to make appropriate prayers before the learned Tribunal so that the matter is
disposed of mandatorily in the timeframe mentioned hereinabove.
The learned Tribunal shall proceed with the matter independently and in accordance with law.
The learned Advocate-on-record for the petitioner is directed to serve copies of this revisional application upon the opposite parties along with a server copy of this order within seven days.
The revisional application is disposed of.
There will be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis. (Shampa Sarkar, J.)
