Superintendent of Police, Barasat Police District has filed a report. The same is taken on record. It appears from the said report that the prime accused, who is already in custody in connection with another case, has been identified and the matter has been transferred to Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of State Police. Teams of investigators are visiting Pune, Maharastra and further investigation is being carried on a right earnest.

It further appears from the said report that earlier a charge-sheet was filed by the police has been upset under Section 173(8) of the Code of Criminal Procedure by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barasat and hence further investigation.

It is, therefore, ordered that investigation be completed by Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of State Police within a period of 45 days from date mandatorily and positively.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
