The contempt application against the police authorities is not maintainable.

The learned advocate appearing on behalf of the applicant who was the respondent in the writ petition, submits that the plaintiff in the suit is trying to violate the order of status quo by raising a construction.

The remedy of Mr. Basu's client is before the learned civil court.

In the meantime, the police authorities shall keep a vigil to see that the order of the learned civil court is not violated till further directions are received from the learned civil court.

The contempt application is disposed of.

The contempt proceeding is dropped.
