For the State The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Mr. Anowar Hossain, Learned Advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appearance may be regularised by the concerned authority. Learned Advocate submits that the case was registered in the year 2014 and, subsequently, it was renumbered as Special Case No. 1 of 2016. The allegations are under Sections 409/466/468/471 of the IPC. Charge has already been framed. Dates have been continuously fixed for evidence. However, there is no progress in the case for the last seven years.

Learned advocate submits that earlier there were directions by this court for expeditious disposal of the case within the scheduled period.

I direct that the Superintendent of Police, Paschim Bardhaman, will act as a Nodal Officer of this case and will ensure regarding the witness to be produced before trial Court on the date so fixed by the learned Special Court. The Ld. Special Court will communicate directly with the Superintendent of Police so that the, in case, he/she finds that any witness is reluctant to appear, then the concerned Superintendent of Police will take steps for appearance of the witnesses concerned.

It is also directed that, henceforth, a schedule of three dates be fixed and such schedule be fixed once in every twenty days, so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. Learned Public Prosecutor conducting the case would produce the materials, exhibits and the documents on the next date so fixed for examination of the witnesses concerned. No unnecessary adjournment shall be granted to either of the parties. All stakeholder would cooperate with the Learned Trial Court for concluding the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 531 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of.
