This petition was filed in the year 2022 seeking a writ of mandamus against Kolkata Municipal Corporation to cancel e-tender for procurement of Sodium Hypochlorite solution for purification of drinking water.

Learned counsel for the respondents by placing reliance on the report submits that the said tender process is over and perhaps the contract period is also over.

The petitioner has not filed any exception to the report filed by the respondents. The petitioner remained absent 31st July, 2025.

It appears that the cause no more survives and the petitioner does not want to prosecute this writ petition / PIL.

For these reasons as aforesaid, the writ petition / PIL is dismissed.
