Petitioner seeks bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 178 days. The police submitted charge sheet. The next date before the jurisdictional Court is March 10, 2022 for the purpose of framing charges. He highlights that the petitioner was falsely implicated. Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statements recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the victim. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the statements of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code

of Criminal Procedure, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (DB) 568 of 2022 is dismissed.
