The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher in Ramkamal Street UP School, a school under the D.P.S.C., Kolkata, the respondent No.3 herein. The petitioner is praying a general transfer on the ground of distance and he is a surplus teacher of his school.

The representation of the petitioner to that effect, dated 14th January, 2025 is pending consideration before the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, the respondent No.9 herein. The said representation forms part of the writ petition, being Annexure 'P-2'.

The respondent No.9 is directed to consider and dispose of the said representation in accordance with

law within 12 weeks from the date of communication of this order of this Court to respondent No.4.

With the above observations and directions this writ petition being WPA 3809 of 2025 stands disposed of.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
