The petitioner is a retired Assistant Teacher of a Primary school under the Murshidabad District Primary School Council.

The petitioner is alleging that though he has retired on October 31, 2016 but he was not given the benefit of ROPA 2019 which came into operation prior to his retirement. The prayer of the petitioner for issuance of revised PPO as per ROPA 2019 is pending consideration before the District Inspector of Schools (PE), Murshidabad, the respondent no.3 herein. The said respondent is directed to consider the said prayer of the petitioner in accordance with law, if necessary, after giving the petitioner an opportunity of hearing and shall dispose of the prayer of the petitioner as expeditiously. In the event, it is found that the petitioner is entitled to the relief as prayed for shall take forward steps accordingly. WPA 3712 of 2025 is disposed of without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
