Petitioners are aggrieved by the illegal act and action of the private respondent nos. 8 to 15 who have accumulated garbage at the pathway of the petitioners from where foul smell is spreading and it is making impossible for the petitioner to stay at the residence.

The private respondents are also threatening the petitioners with ulterior motive. To that effect, representation was furnished on 14.12.2023 to the Officer-in-charge, Gangarampur Police Station. In spite of such information being furnished no steps have been taken. Since the information was furnished almost 15 months ago I grant liberty to the petitioner to approach the

Officer-in-charge, Gangarampur Police Station who would communicate with the municipal authorities for taking steps for removal of the garbage and/or take steps for ensuring that the life and liberty of the petitioners are not at stake or there is no insecurity felt by the petitioners because of the highhandedness by the private respondents.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 3656 of 2024 is disposed of.
