It appears that the Pradhan, Mahishbathani Gram Panchayat has already filed a representation to the proposed punishment before the Commissioner, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Government of West Bengal.

The learned advocate for the Commissioner prays for time for final disposal of the proceedings upon consideration of the representation of the respondent no.7 as per Section 213(2) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Commissioner, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Government of West Bengal to conclude the proceeding and pass necessary orders within a period of three weeks from date of communication of this order.

The time period mentioned hereinabove is mandatory in view of the fact that sufficient time had already been granted to the Commissioner, by the earlier order of this court.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
