The petitioner participated in the recruitment process for the post of Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel pursuant to a Notification dated January 6, 2023.

Mr. Gupta, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner was called for an interview at 2:00 p.m. on February 10, 2023 whereas his Admit Card for the said interview was forwarded to him by way of Whatsapp at 2:19 p.m. Such an illegal and arbitrary

act on the part of the respondent no. 6 has been challenged in the writ petition.

Mr. Sen, learned counsel appears on behalf of the respondent authorities and fairly submits that there was a mistake on their part. The Admit Card should not have been circulated subsequent to the time stipulated for the interview. He also submits that the interview process has not yet been conducted.

In the circumstances, it is directed that the Admit Card for the interview should be circulated with prior intimation of the interview to the petitioner. The said intimation should be given at least four days before the date of interview specifying the date, time and the venue of the interview. With the directions aforesaid, W.P.A. 3597 of 2023 is disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been directed to be exchanged in the present writ petition, all the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted by the parties.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all the formalities.
