1. Petitioners have preferred the present writ petition seeking demolition of illegal construction erected at Dag no. 301 of Mouza Khariyal, Block Chanditala II, Hooghly by the private respondent nos. 7 to 10.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that an illegal and unauthorized construction is being carried out by the private respondents without obtaining any valid sanction plan and in total contravention of rules and bye-laws.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent municipality submits that they shall decide the petitioner's representation dated 1.2.2025.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondent municipality, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that they

shall be satisfied if their representation dated 1.2.2025 is decided in a time bound manner.

5. In view of the statements made by the learned counsel for the municipality this court directs the respondent municipality to decide the petitioners' representation dated 1.2.2025 within six weeks from the date of communication of this order after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners as well as the private respondents by way of speaking order.

6. With the above direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.

7. Since no affidavit is called for, allegations made in the petition is deemed to have been denied. (Gaurang Kanth, J.)
