By presenting this writ petition, inter alia, petitioner has prayed for interest on arrear salary and it is submitted that the arrear salary was not paid to the petitioner from 1st June, 2011 to 31st December, 2012. However, on perusal of the writ petition, it appears that petitioner retired on superannuation in the month of July, 2011 and such statement is corroborated by the report filed by the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Paschim Medinipur wherefrom it appears that petitioner retired on superannuation on 31st July, 2011. The report of the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Paschim Medinipur dated 4th March, 2025 is taken on record.

In view of superannuation of the petitioner on 31st July, 2011, there is no scope left to get salary for the period beyond 31st July, 2011. Therefore, prayer of the petitioner for granting interest on arrear salary on

releasing the said arrear salary up to 31st December, 2012 does not arise.

Hence, writ petition stands dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
