Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that there was a fight between the relatives. The other co-accused were granted anticipatory bail.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the statements of the victim recorded before the learned Magistrate as well as the injury report, which shows that the petitioner was the principal accused. There was a stab injury inflicted on the abdomen of the victim. The victim had to remain in the hospital for about nine days. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail to the present petitioner. The application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is, thus, rejected.
