Mitra ...for the State University The petitioner appeared for the post of Junior Assistant at West Bengal State University, Barasat. It was the grievance of the petitioner that though he participated in the selection process in the year 2019, the result was not published till August, 2022. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that subsequently, he was provided with the marks obtained in the selection process following his application under Right To Information Act, 2005. At this juncture, the petitioner is interested in obtaining the marks secured by the selected candidates. The learned advocate appearing for the university submits that the result of the recruitment was published in the notice board of the university. The rank of the petitioner was also communicated to him in response to his application. He submits that the petitioner could not be selected because of his relative performance in the selection process. His rank in the merit list was 112.

A copy of the merit list of the relevant selection process has been made over to the learned advocate for the petitioner by the university in Court today. Nothing remains to be decided further in this writ petition. If the petitioner is aggrieved otherwise, he may file appropriate application.

Accordingly, WPA 3629 of 2023 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
