Hossain .... for the respondent No. 7 The petitioner prays for a direction on the respondents to allow the petitioner to participate in a walk-in-interview for the post of Peon (unreserved) which is scheduled to be held tomorrow i.e., 10th March, 2022 at 10 A.M.. The cause of action in the present writ petition arose pursuant to an advertisement issued by the College on 28th January, 2022 for recruitment to Group-C and Group-D posts. The petitioner has crossed the age limit as stipulated by the said advertisement. However the petitioner has admittedly been working in the said College as a Computer Operator since 2007 and is the only candidate who has been attached to the College for a significant length of time. The respondent No. 8 being

the Governing Body of the College is directed to consider the case of the petitioner as a special case giving due weightage to the number of years of service and dispose of the same by a reasoned order within a week as prayed for. The College shall hear all relevant parties including the petitioner and furnish a copy of the reasoned order to the petitioner within four days from the date on which the reasoned order is passed.

WPA 3499 of 2022 is disposed of in terms of the above.

The petitioner shall make the representation by tomorrow, i.e., 10th March, 2022 and the College shall dispose of the same as directed if the petitioner is found eligible, the petitioner shall be considered for the same post.
