Mr. Ayan Banerjee Ms. Debasree Dhamali Ms. Debolina Ghosh ....for the Petitioner Mr. Anirban Tarafder Ms. Sinthiya Habib ....for the CESC Limited This is a writ petition wherein the petitioner seeks a fresh electricity connection. During the pendency of the writ petition, the CESC Limited has raised a demand which has been paid by the petitioner.

In view of the above, WPA 3667 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the CESC Limited to provide an electricity connection to the petitioner after compliance with all statutory formalities and upon payment any other fees. The above exercise is to be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order after compliance with all formalities.

It is clarified that the proposed meter to be installed at the subject premises would be installed in the existing meter room.

In the event that there is any restrain in installing the meter.

Liberty is granted to the CESC Limited to take police assistance in accordance with law if any such proposed police assistance is required all expenses are to be borne only by the petitioner.
