None appears on behalf of the petitioner. On June 25, 2024 as well none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Report filed by the CESC Ltd. is taken on record. Report indicates that the CESC Ltd. is willing to grant connection at same meter board position which is being resisted by the respondent Nos.3, 4 and 5. It appears that the respondent Nos.3, 4 and 5 had sold the shop room to the petitioner. The learned Advocate for the CESC Ltd. submits that grant of connection, by installation of a meter in the shop room would not be safe and would be in violation of the regulations. In any event, the petitioner is not appearing before this Court.

The writ petition is dismissed for default.

Dismissal of this writ petition will not prevent the CESC Ltd. to proceed in accordance with law in the matter of grant of electricity connection.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
