1. The petitioner by way of this Public Interest Litigation prays for a direction that the activities of the writ petitioner who stated to be a Non-Government Organization interfered with the respondent Police. It is not clear as to under what circumstances, the interference is called for. In this regard, the legal notice sent on behalf of the petitioner organization to the authorities on 02.01.2024 and the same is stated to have been received in the Office of the respondents and no action has been initiated. Since the writ petition is disposed of without calling for any affidavits, the allegations made in the writ petition are not gone into and would suffice it to direct respondent no. 5, the Commissioner of Police, Lalbazar, Kolkata-1 to consider the representation dated 02.01.

2024 on merits and in accordance with law and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to submit a copy of the representation alongwith the copy of this order by personally appearing in the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Lalbazar to facilitate the compliance of the above direction.

2. In the result, the writ petition stands disposed of.
