ACGR Case No. 4956 of 2022 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code is sought to be quashed by the petitioners/ accused persons on the grounds stated in the revisonal application.

However, during the pendency of the instant revision the parties have arrived at a mutual settlement. Both the opposite party/de facto complainant and the petitioners have filed a joint petition for compromise stating, inter alia, that the dispute has been settled out of Court and the de facto complainant does not want to proceed with the above mentioned ACGR Case No. 4956 of 2022. She made a similar statement before the Officer-in-charge of jurisdictional P.S. who submitted his report which is kept with the record. It also appears that on 30th March, 2023 the de facto complainant and her husband were mutually divorced.

Considering such aspect of the matter and in view of the fact that the instant criminal case arose out of matrimonial dispute, the instant revision is disposed of on the basis of a joint petition for compromise.

In view of the disposal of the instant revision, ACGR Case No. 4956 of 2022 be quashed. In view of the above order the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Alipore is directed to pass a formal order dropping further investigation of Jadavpur P.S. Case No. 226 of 2022.
