The petitioners allege violation of the direction passed in the order dated 26th August, 2020.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that in compliance of the order of the Court, the Chairperson of the Board of Administrators, Bishnupur Municipality has forwarded a communication dated 2nd November, 2020 annexed as annexure P-4 at page 69 of the contempt application. It appears from the said communication made by the Chairperson of the Board of Administrators, Bishnupur Municipality that the issue was taken up for consideration by the Bishnupur Municipality and the prayer of the petitioners was considered and rejected. The petitioners are aggrieved by the same.

I am afraid the legality and validity of the order passed by the Bishnupur Municipality as communicated to the petitioners by communication dated 2nd November, 2020 cannot be looked into by this Court, in the contempt jurisdiction.

Liberty is granted to the petitioners to challenge the legality of the said order before the appropriate forum, strictly in accordance with law.

The contempt application stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
