Petitioner contends he is a tenant in the de-facto complainant's premises. There was free mixing between them. Subsequently, relationship soured and he has been falsely implicated. There is delay in lodging First Information Report. Accordingly, he prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate for the State and de-facto complainant oppose the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record including the statement of the victim. In her statement victim stated on 4.11.2024 petitioner threatened her with a knife and forcibly raped her. She lodged FIR.

Keeping in mind the aforesaid incriminating materials on record and gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
