Montu Kumar Hazra v. State Of West Bengal And ORS.
D/L. 2.
January 19, 2024.
MNS.
WPA No. 3669 of 2023 Montu Kumar Hazra Vs.
State of West Bengal and others Mr. Sabyasachi Chatterjee, Mr. Akashdeep Mukherjee, Mr. Badrul karim, Mr. Kiron Sk.
... for the petitioner.
Mr. Rajarshi Basu ...for the State.
1. It is pointed out that proper notice was not given on learned counsel for the State prior to moving the matter on January 17, 2024.
2. Moreover, the Union of India is not a party and as such the appearances for Union of India are redundant.
3. Although there is substance in the contentions, it transpires that nothing substantial regarding the rights and contentions of the parties hinges around the order dated January 17, 2024 and the writ petition was disposed of with an innocuous direction.
4. As such, the order dated January 17, 2024 need not be recalled on such minor technical grounds.
5. However, the name of learned counsel for the State be recorded in today's order. Insofar as the representation of Union of India is concerned, the same being superfluous, be ignored.
6. Since the writ petition has already been disposed of, no further order need be passed in that regard.
