The petitioner is working as an Assistant Teacher of Geography (Pass) at Deopul Adhar Memorial High School (H.S.), District: 24 Parganas (North). She, under the 'Utsashree Portal' applied for general transfer but the authority has rejected her such prayer.

The petitioner is challenging the said decision of the authority.

The petitioner has a minor daughter, she has to look after her in-laws and the distance from her residence to her place of work is more than 130 kilometers are the grounds on which she is seeking such transfer.

The 'Utsashree Portal' is under suspension, besides the grounds of transfer are not convincing, as a result, the writ petition fails, W.P.A. 3537 of 2022 is accordingly dismissed without any order as to costs.

In view of dismissal of W.P.A. 3537 of 2022, the connected application being IA No: CAN 1 of 2023 is also dismissed without any order as to costs.
