1. Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept on record.

2. In view of the innocuous nature of the prayer, further service is not directed, although none appears for the respondents.

3. The petitioners are justified in submitting that the application of the petitioner no. 1, Bank of India, under Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002, has been kept pending for an inordinately long period beyond the outer statutory limit.

4. Accordingly, W.P.A. No. 3808 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 2, that is, the District Magistrate at Howrah to dispose of the petitioner no. 1's application under Section 14 of the 2002 Act, pending before the respondent no.

2, as early as possible, positively within four weeks from date.

5. The parties shall act on the server copy of this order for the purpose of compliance.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
