Let such amendment of the cause title be carried out by the learned advocate for the petitioner, here and now.
The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, in his usual fairness, submits that the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed by the issuance of the memo dated 9th March, 2006 by the Senior Additional R.C.S.(ST Cr) Cooperation Directorate (HQ) to the Special Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Cooperation Department.
The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that though a direction has been passed upon the Special Secretary to take necessary steps so that the residual amount of subsidy amount may be sanctioned in favour of the Society and the same is paid to the beneficiary Cooperative Society but no time frame has been indicated in the said memo.
Mr. Sureka, learned advocate appears for the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocates for the respective parties, the Special Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Cooperation Department being the added respondent is directed to comply with the directions contained in the memo dated 9th March, 2026 and ensure that the amount is transmitted to the beneficiary Cooperative Society as expeditiously as possible but positively by the end of the month of April, 2026.
With the above observations, WPA 3892 of 2026 stands disposed of.
There shall be however no order as to costs.
Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
