Mr. Indranil Halder Ms. Neha Singh ....for the Petitioner Mr. Asif Dewan ....for the WBSEDCL The Report filed on behalf of the WBSEDCL be kept with the records. A copy of the same is handed over to the petitioner.

The writ petition has been filed due to inaction of the WBSEDCL in installing a new meter for the submersible pump belonging to the petitioner.

The Report filed on behalf of the WBSEDCL categorically mentions that due to the fact that Boro cultivation is about to begin and the present ground realities, the respondent WBSEDCL would take at least 120 days (subject to available of a proper way leave permission and no resistance) to complete the above work.

In view of the above, WPA 3764 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to act in terms of the Report dated 06.3.2026 filed in Court.

It is clarified that the WBSEDCL is also directed to act in accordance with law and adhere to all statutory formalities.
