Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. He highlights the delay in the lodgment of the complaint from the date of the incident.

State and the de facto complainant are represented. On the previous occasion, after consideration of the nature of allegations against the petitioner and the materials in the case diary, a report was called for from the Investigation Officer as to whether they were independent witnesses with regard to the incident or not.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State submits a report which be taken on record.

The report dated March 2, 2022 states that there were three witnesses who are eyewitnesses to the incident happening at the Court premises.

It is alleged as against the petitioner that the petitioner

tried to intimidate the witness in a criminal case at the Court premises.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 1032 of 2022, is rejected.
