20220022450815 for grant of FPS dealership at Village- Dhanchepara, Mouza- Andul Baria- I Gram Panchayat, P.S.- Rejinagar, District- Murshidabad. A report filed on behalf of the State is taken on record.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. A notification was issued in respect of the vacancy of the FPS dealership in question on 05.05.2022.

On 15.06.2022, the petitioner made an online application by depositing the requisite application

fees along with papers. A field inquiry was conducted on 29.09.2022. On 17.10.2022, the petitioner submitted all relevant documents required. Yet, thereafter nothing was communicated to the petitioner about the date of his application. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits as follows. Several vacancies have been notified and process is on for filling up such vacancies. A committee has also been formed in this regard. But, because of the excessive number of vacancies that are being dealt with, it is taking time for respondent authorities to decide upon the applications. However, all endeavour will be made to conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsels for the parties and have perused the writ petition and the report filed by the State.

It appears that the applications for FPS dealership is pending since long.

However, it also appears from the report that the respondents are having to deal with a number of such similar vacancies. That is why it is taking more than usual time.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, I direct the respondent authorities to conclude the process and decide on the petitioner's application for FPS dealership as expeditiously as

possible and intimate the result to the petitioner within a fortnight of taking such decision.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for.
