1. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits he is in custody for more than four months. He prays for bail.

2. Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of the eye-witnesses show petitioner had assaulted his wife, son and mother-in-law. His son succumbed to his injuries. In view of gravity of the offence and evidence on record we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
