The petitioner is aggrieved by the mode and manner of investigation in relation to Technocity Police Station Case No. 01/2024 dated 01.01.2024. The grievance of the petitioner is that the torn clothes and shoes which could have helped the investigating authority to unearth the truth were not seized in course of investigation.

Having considered that almost 17 months have passed since the FIR was registered, I am of the view that if the charge-sheet till date has not been submitted, yet the investigation must be at the final stages.

Learned advocate for the State is present.

Having regard to the time period which has lapsed in the meantime, I am of the opinion that if the report under Section 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has already been filed, petitioner would ventilate her grievance before the jurisdictional court in seisin of the issue. In case

the report under Section 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has not been filed, in that case the petitioner be informed immediately after submission of such report.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 3824 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
