Despite service of notice, the private respondent is not represented. Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record.

The petitioner claims that there are civil disputes and differences with the private respondent no. 5, which is the subject matter of T. S. No. 261 of 2022, which is now pending before the Civil Judge (Senior Division), Purulia.

The petitioners have complained to the O. C., Bowbazar Police Station that the respondent and his men and agents are repeatedly barging into the petitioners' office and are threatening and intimidating him. They are also disturbing peace in the office. Sums of money have been demanded from the petitioners.

Bowbazar Police Station has indeed taken steps to address the situation. They arrived at the petitioners' place of business at Kolkata and have found that there

were hot altercations between the private respondent and the petitioners and his office staff.

In the above circumstances, this Court is of the view that the petitioners have made out a prima facie case for protection.

Bowbazar Police Station shall post a police constable at the petitioners' office at 16, Ganesh Chandra Avenue, 4th Floor, Kolkata-13 at his cost for a period of one month from date. The cost of deploying the police constable shall be communicated to the petitioners immediately upon receipt of a copy of this order. Upon payment of costs, the protection shall be deployed.

The writ petition is disposed of.

The instructions of the Bowbazar Police Station dated 20.02.2023 is taken on record.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
