There has been a double entry to the list appended to vacancy notice dated October 1, 2024, regarding vacancy on the route from Sosulpur to Bhubaneswar via Contai, Egra, Belda, Laxmannath, Balasore, Cuttack, that is, Serial Nos.12 and 76. This has been the first error on the part of the notifying authority, that is, STA, West Bengal. The second error is mentioning of vacancy to be in existence as against Serial No.76, whereas the actual position is that on the said date of notification, there was no vacancy existing on the said inter-state route, as mentioned in Serial No.12, in the appended list, with the said vacancy notice.

Hence, the petitioners, who have applied on the basis of Serial No.76, the said vacancy notification dated October 1, 2024, cannot claim to be considered

as against Serial No.76 of the said notice, which apparently is erroneous.

For the reasons as above, the Court finds no merit in the present writ petition. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed.
