None appears for the private respondents despite service of notice.

The petitioner was an employee under the private respondent nos. 12, 13 and 14 and superannuated on 28th January, 2020. The petitioner's grievance is that he has not been paid his legitimate dues lying with the office of the private respondents including his provident fund and other benefits and several representations made in this regard have fallen on deaf ears. The representation submitted by the petitioner on 18th February, 2022 has been forwarded to the Commissioner, Kolkata Police by the Deputy Secretary to the Government of West Bengal on 8th March, 2022 for taking necessary action, as submitted on behalf of the petitioner.

Upon consideration of the submissions made on behalf of the parties and also in view of the fact that the private respondents have not cared to appear before this Court despite service of notice, this Court is of the view

that the representation submitted by the petitioner may be directed to be considered by the concerned authority within a stipulated time frame.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 7th and 8th respondents to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 18th February, 2022 within four weeks from the date of communication of this order after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, in accordance with law.

The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week thereof. With the aforesaid directions, WPA 3583 of 2022 is disposed of. There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
