Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 258 days. The incident is a result of a love relationship going sour.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the contents in the case diary including the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. She submits that the victim was drugged and thereafter ravished and left as dead. The victim was recovered two days after the incident. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the fact that there is hardly any change in circumstances subsequent to the earlier order of rejection, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

CRM (DB) 597 of 2022 is rejected.
