1. By way of this public interest litigation the petitioner alleges that large scale misappropriation of the funds allotted by the Government of India based on the recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission for rural development.

2. The 9th respondent is the Executive Assistant of the Panchayat and the 10th respondent is a

contractual employee. There are certain allegations made against those persons.

3. In this regard, representation has been submitted to the various authorities stating that funds have been credited to the bank accounts of certain agencies which cannot be done.

4. At this juncture, we cannot go into such disputed questions of fact as the matter has already been brought to the notice of the authorities by way of a representation dated 06.11.2023 which appears to be a mass petition.

5. Therefore, without going into the merits of the allegations made by the petitioner in this matter, there will be a direction to the 4th respondent to enquire into the matter.

6. In order to facilitate the same, the petitioner is directed to submit a copy of the representation along with the other records including a copy of this order and submit the same in person in the office of the District Magistrate, Purulia, who, on receipt of the same shall conduct an appropriate enquiry after notice to all concerned, namely, the 7th respondent to 10th respondent and proceed to take action in accordance with law.

7. The above direction be complied with within a period of eight weeks on which the representation is submitted in the office of the District Magistrate.

8. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
