Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved by the manner of progress of CR 7 of 2022 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Contai, Purba Medinipur. According to the learned advocate, the accused persons after being granted bail are evading the process of court. The application filed under Section 143A of the Negotiable Instruments Act is pending for a considerable period of time and the next date has been fixed by the learned Magistrate on 20th March, 2024.

Learned Magistrate is directed to dispose of the application under Section 143A of the Negotiable Instruments Act on 20th March, 2024 or within a fortnight thereafter. The learned trial court would thereafter fix date for evidence once in every two months so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 638 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
