The son of the petitioners was a primary teacher at Harihor Shunia Primary School, a school under Egra Paschim Circle of the District Primary School Council, Purba Medinpur who died-in-harness on April 27, 2005. On the death of the said teacher, his widow, the respondent no.7 herein started receiving the family pension but, on her remarriage, the said pension has stopped.

The petitioners are praying that the family pension may be disbursed in their favour. The petitioners are granted liberty to apply before the District Inspector of Schools (P.E.), Purba Medinipur, the respondent no.5 herein for disbursement of family pension in

their favour within a period of ten days from date, if such prayer is made, the respondent no.5 shall consider and dispose of the same expeditiously in accordance with law, if necessary, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and/or their agents and all other concerned.

WPA 3906 of 2024 is, thus, disposed of without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
