Today, a report has been submitted by the learned advocate for the State which reflects that Khardah PS Case No. 213 of 2025 dated 29.04.2025 has been registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of the BNS.

Having considered the nature of the Sections which have been incorporated, prima facie, I am of the

view that the police authorities have acted on the information, though, belatedly.

Learned advocate for the petitioner further submits that there has been no progress of the investigation as the accused persons are still threatening and are roaming freely.

So far as the accusations are concerned, the police authorities are required to unearth the truth. Investigation obviously consists of different parts. Once an investigation has been set into motion, the same is within the jurisdiction of the Court having determination. As such, the grievance of the petitioner be addressed before the learned jurisdictional Court in seisin of the issues.

However, having regard to the nature of the offence complained of, the police authorities would ensure that the victim and her family members are not subjected to unnecessary harassment

and/or threat as also there is no feeling of insecurity amongst themselves.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 3901 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
