The petitioner is aggrieved by alleged over-action of the Rabindra Sarobar Police Station. It appears that the complaint dated 31st January 2022 was received by the Officer-in-Charge, Rabindra Sarobar Police Station against the writ petitioner complaining of certain acts and omissions.

It is in connection with the said complaint, the officials of the Rabindra Sarobar Police Station visited the petitioner's residence. An earlier complaint on selfsame subject matter was registered with the Gariahat Police Station which was not proceeded with. It is also submitted that after the petitioner's complaint to the Commissioner of Police and other persons dated 18th February 2022, the Rabindra Sarobar Police has not taken any steps against the petitioner. The petitioner has had no grievance against the police thereafter.

In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of directing the police to take steps in accordance with law as they may be advised in respect of the complaint received.

The said complainant Sri Pratap Kumar Sen (Aloke) is added as party respondent to the instant proceedings. Let a copy of the writ petition along with the order as also the report of the Officer-in-Charge, Rabindra Sarobar Police Station dated 5th March 2022 be made available to him.

Advocate-on-Record for the petitioner shall make necessary amendments to the cause title in course of the day.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
