The petitioner is an Assistant in the subject Geography (PASS) at Balughat Junior High School, District : Malda.

The petitioner is seeking transfer to a school nearer to his residence at District : 24-Parganas (South) on the ground that the distance between his residence and the school is more than 400 K.M.

There is no dispute that the petitioner is getting the House Rent Allowance, as such the ground on which he is seeking transfer is not at all convincing.

W.P.A. 3929 of 2024 is accordingly dismissed without any order as to costs.
