The complainant is aggrieved by the pendency of Deganga Police Station Case No.604 of 2012 dated 03.09.2012 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Barasat, 24 Parganas (North).

Last of the order-sheet reflects that one of the accused, namely, Pabitra Das has expired and for submission of his death report the matter is pending. The other accused, namely, Santi Das is pursuing her remedy before the court.

Having considered the stage of the case, I direct Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned advocate appearing for the State to communicate the Inspector-in-Charge, Deganga Police Station who would take steps for submitting the death report of Pabitra Das in connection with the instant case before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Barasat, 24 Parganas (North) on the next date so fixed or within a fortnight thereafter. The learned court would thereafter

consider the charges and if after considering the charges is of the opinion that the trial should proceed, then in that case, would fix at least one date in every 20 days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties. Learned public prosecutor conducting the case would produce all the materials, documents and exhibits on the date so fixed for examination of the witnesses' concerned. All stakeholders would cooperate with the trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 668 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
