The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited and the competent authority, i.e., the respondent no.2 are directed to comply with the order of the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer, Murshidabad Region, WBSEDCL, by granting permanent connection to the petitioner, unless an appeal has been preferred before the ombudsman.

As the temporary connection is already in running connection, the same shall be converted to a permanent connection, strictly in accordance with law and upon the petitioner fulfilling any other obligation and upon payment of outstanding dues, if any such dues remain unpaid. As the temporary connection had been granted and it is claimed to be in a running condition, this court does not think that there can be any serious impediment in not granting the permanent connection.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.

All parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of the order.
