The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 400 days and has prayed for bail due to long period of detention. Considering the fact that above commercial quantity has been recovered from the petitioner and prima facie involvement of the petitioner is established, we are not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. We have been informed that the trial court has fixed 27th April, 2021 for consideration of charges. We make it clear that no adjournment should be granted to either of the parties on the date fixed. If the charges are framed and the court is of the view that the trial is necessary, the trial court shall make a schedule for examination of witnesses and strictly adhere to the said schedule. We also request the trial court to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. All parties shall act on the server copy of the order.
